Thomas Joseph
You would think that with a successful dry cleaning business and several locations around the area, Mr. Joseph would be found at all hours toiling away in his office. But, if you have any interest in civic affairs and the community, you are definitely going to bump into him at some point!
Here are just a few of the things he is involved in:
North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce. Thomas is a Chamber Board Member and received Irwin Adams Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003/2004. This prestigious award is given each year to a person who has given back to the community in time, energy and resources “above and beyond the call of duty” over an extended period of time.
Rotary Club of Clackamas. Thomas is Membership Chair, which includes development, orientation, and induction of new members, as well as implementing membership-retention plans. Thomas also frequently visits other Rotary Clubs in the area! Not only that, but for his own club, Thomas is also PolioPlus Chair; PolioPlus is Rotary International’s ten-year plan to completely wipe out polio from every country in the world. That is quote close to happening now, and Rotarians are raising additional money to eradicate polio in the few countries where it still is endemic. The “Clackamas Rotary” goal is to raise $15,000 from club members, and more from outside activities. Thomas is a very active Rotarian, and has also served as District Assembly Committee Chair, and is Chair of Centennial Celebration at the District 5100 Conference in 2005.
Town Center Bank. Thomas was a founding director, serving on the loan committee and chairing the marketing committee.
Providence Milwaukie Hospital Foundation. Thomas is the immediate past president, nominating commiittee, and co-chair E.D. improvement fund raising campaign, with a goal of raising one million dollars for this vital community hospital.
You might even come across Thomas running down a street or road in your area! He started running four years ago, became very interested, and ran ten marathons–including the New York, Chicago, and Boston Marathons!
Civic involvement and community relations are important to Mr. Joseph. But the appearance of your clothes is important to you, and it is just as important to him! Many of his new customers come from referrals from those who have already discovered the quality of his staff’s work, and the convenience of his FREE PICKUP AND DELIVERY!
